- COVID-19 continues to wreak havoc on the Supercars schedule in Australia.  Earlier this morning, Supercars and the Benalla Auto Club officially cancelled the Winton SuperSprint, scheduled for Oct. 2-3.  

This is the fourth schedule change for the series in less than a week.  Wednesday saw the Repco Bathurst 1000 pushed back from Nov. 7 to Dec. 5.  Monday saw the cancellation of the Gold Coast 500 in Surfers Paradise, which allowed for Bathurst to be pushed back.  Last Friday saw the round at Philip Island scheduled for Oct. 23-24 cancelled as well.

Due to these cancellations, the Repco Supercars Championship has not raced since July 18 in Townsville.  While the official schedule does include three TBA dates (for now), the next officially scheduled race is the Beaurepaires Sydney SuperNight at Sydney Motorsports Park on Nov. 20.  By that point, it will have been over four months since the series will have raced.
