Around the World in Motorsports: Sept. 20

- In a memo to teams Monday, IMSA announced stringent new COVID-19 policies ahead of this weekend's race in Long Beach. All competitors and team members, regardless of vaccination status, will have to be masked at all times, indoors and outdoors. In addition, entry to the facility will not be allowed without either proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.

The move is actually due to policy from the City of Long Beach for the weekend to take place. Anyone involved with IMSA will have to show their proof of vaccination or negative test results to IMSA Registration to gain entry to the venue. Those who need to be tested can obtain free tests Thursday at the Long Beach Hilton, which is located a few blocks from the track. In addition, any fans coming to the race are under similar policies. They must prove full vaccination or provide a negative test result to get in.

Josh Berry Filling In Again for Michael Annett at Vegas

JR Motorsports announced Monday that Michael Annett has once again been ruled out for Saturday's ALSCO Uniforms 302 due to his leg injury. It will be the sixth race that he's missed. Josh Berry will continue to drive in his place.

Entry List: 2021 South Point 400

For Sunday evening's South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, there are 38 teams entered. Cody Ware returns to the No. 51 after missing the last two weeks due to carbon monoxide inhalation at Darlington. JJ Yeley moves over to MBM Motorsports.

Entry List: Alsco Uniforms 302

For Saturday's ALSCO Uniforms 302, there are 41 teams entered. Timmy Hill's No. 13 has been excluded from the race. Bayley Currey will continue with JD Motorsports, while CJ McLaughlin replaces him at Mike Harmon Racing. Ty Dillon will drive for Jordan Anderson, while Dylan Lupton will drive the Sam Hunt Racing Toyota.

Entry List: 2021 Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200

Friday night's Camping World Truck Series race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway has 37 trucks entered. Christian Eckes returns to the ThorSport No. 98, resulting in Grant Enfinger replacing Colby Howard at CR7 Motorsports. Brett Moffitt will drive the No. 25 for Rackley W.A.R. in place of Josh Berry, while Chris Hacker makes his debut with Niece Motorsports.
